Job Description
As Aquatics Zone Coordinator, my formal job duties / job description include:
- Tracking and logging the pool visits of the zone team
- Tracking and logging all facility and skill audits
- Lead trainings and enrollments for Guard Competitions
- Planning and setting up internal guard competitions
- Organizing and scheduling zone facility audits
- Carrying out facility inventory
- Conducting pool visits and pool audits
- Taking charge of zone and leadership staff meetings
- Being the “go between” from management to zone and pool leadership staff
- Being the first line of defense for staffing issues
- Making the schedules for the zone team
- Being aware of pool issues (i.e., maintenance and staffing concerns)
- Leading and organizing employee evaluations
- Checking mileage and expense reports of the zone and leadership staff
- Holding the ability to write-up any seasonal aquatics staff
Required Qualifications
The required qualifications needed for the position are:
- The experience of having held every prior position in the lifeguarding chain of command for The Woodlands Township.
- (i.e., Lifeguard, Head Lifeguard, Pool Supervisor, and Zone Supervisor)
- Certifications in Lifeguarding
- Additional certifications in Waterfront and Waterpark Lifeguarding are appreciated, but not required
- Certification as Lifeguard Instructor
Benefits and Opportunities
- 40 hour weeks, with an hourly rate of $16.25
- Opportunities for overtime, with pay and a half
